Working Principle of Double-Shaft Shredder
The double-shaft shredder operates through a twin-shaft, counter-rotating shearing process, designed to reduce large, tough materials into uniform sizes:
- Material Intake: Bulk materials（e.g., industrial waste, tires, wood）re fed into a hopper, often assisted by a hydraulic ram that pushes the material into the cutting chamber, preventing bridging.
- Shearing & Compression: Two parallel shafts fitted with interlocking, hook-shaped blades rotate at low speed（high torque）in opposite directions. The blades grab, compress, and shear the material between them, a process often described as “chewing.”
- Size Reduction & Screening: As material is broken down, it passes through a perforated screen（grate）at the bottom of the chamber. Only particles smaller than the screen holes exit the machine.
