ONE MACHINE. THREE FRACTIONS.

Use material behavior
to your advantage.

The MDBS ballistic separator uses an inclined, oscillating paddle deck to divide mixed waste by shape, density and movement. It makes downstream sorting more stable and more efficient.

FAQ

Ballistic Separator
Questions, Answered.

What materials can a ballistic separator handle?

Mixed municipal solid waste, commercial waste, C&D debris, single-stream recyclables, plastics, metals and paper. It performs best on heterogeneous streams with a mix of 2D and 3D shapes.

What is the difference between 2D and 3D fractions?

Flat and flexible materials typically travel upward as 2D, while rolling or rigid materials move downward as 3D.

What is the typical throughput?

From about 5 m³/h on compact units up to 200 m³/h on heavy-duty models, depending on screen width, paddle count and feed density.

How do I select the right MDBS model?

We recommend a model based on your material composition, target capacity, particle size and required outputs.

Can the deck angle and screen holes be customized?

Yes. Deck angle and screen openings can be selected to match your material stream and recovery target.

What information is needed for a technical proposal?

Please share material photos, capacity, site conditions and the fractions you want to recover.
